What Is A Below Market Value Property?
Below Market Value (or BMV for short) properties are residential properties that are available below their currently estimated market value, for example; below the price the property would achive through an estate agent.
The market value is calculated by comparing recent local sales of similar properties in the area.
The owners of these properties are usually in a distressed situation and need to sell quickly, mostly due to the following reasons:
- Involved in a collapsed chain
- Emmigrating/Relocating
- Inherited Property
- Facing Repossession or Eviction
- Struggling With Mortgage Payments
- Bereavement or Divorce
